Maine’s school counselors are invited to gather in the Hall of Flags for a powerful and meaningful close to National School Counseling Week. This special event honors the dedication, impact, and leadership of school counselors across the great State of Maine—past, present, and future.
Join us as we celebrate excellence in the profession, including words of recognition honoring Cynthia Martell, Maine’s 2025 School Counselor of the Year, and the announcement of Maine’s 2026 School Counselor of the Year. Together, we will lift up the vital role school counselors play in shaping student success and strengthening our communities.
We invite current, future, and retired school counselors to be part of this inspiring afternoon on Friday, February 6, from 2:00–4:00 p.m., in the Hall of Flags at the Maine State House in Augusta. Come be recognized, be inspired, and stand proudly alongside colleagues from across the state.
